In 2018, BMW added to its already-stellar SUV X Series lineup with a whole new compact crossover. At Patrick BMW in Schaumburg, we never knew we needed the BMW X2, but, now that it's here, we're so glad BMW decided to give us this terrific new model that fills a niche that perfectly suits many of our customers.
BMW X2 Style
The BMW X2 is a subcompact SUV crossover that seats five people in two rows and has ample cargo space available through a rear liftgate. The X2 is a small model, but it's big on personality and style. It's slightly shorter and longer than similarly-sized SUVs, lending it a unique look that's all its own. But, while it may look like an elevated hatchback car, it's still a small SUV at heart, with its available all-wheel drive and flexible cargo room.
BMW X2 Comfort and Technology
The X2 is, of course, a BMW, which means it comes as no surprise that it features the latest in technology and comfort for both drivers and passengers. High-quality seats are power-adjustable, with adjustable bolster and thigh support, allowing you to customize your comfort level to your exact specifications. Plus, each model comes with a ton of great tech and safety features, such as BMW's iDrive infotainment system and a power liftgate, with many more luxury and innovative amenities available in optional packages.
Power and Performance
There are two customizing options available for the BMW X2, depending on whether you prefer all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive. Both are powered by a standard, turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that's rated for 228 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission is also standard, although if you opt for the available M SportX package you'll get a sport-tuned automatic transmission with wheel-mounted shifting paddles instead.
