Gold Class I-CAR Certified
Being part of only 10% of collision repair shops that are Gold Class I-CAR certified, you can be assured that our technicians will be making safe and proper repairs each and every time. Gold Class certification means that our technicians are trained every year; it also means that we have experts in our shops to handle repair specialties. We know where to look for damage you might not be able to see, we assess what can be repaired and what needs to be replaced and are up to date on all the latest vehicle technologies and repair techniques.
"The importance of us being certified is that we follow the manufacturer's guidelines on repairing customer's vehicles and putting them back to pre-loss condition. Part of their guidelines is that we are only allowed to use OEM [original equipment manufacturer] parts on their vehicle," Schaumburg Collision Center Collision Manager Tim Odachowski said.Â
Aluminum-Certification
Our shops are some of the few in the state of Illinois that are aluminum-certified which is especially important for a brand such as BMW. Aluminum is a delicate material that requires specific training and care to handle and repair, according to Odachowski. "Aluminum certification is important because there are special procedures for fixing portions of the vehicle," he said.

National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certified
In addition to being Gold Class certified, we are certified under the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) for auto body repair. In order to pass an ASE certification test, our technicians must have two years of on-the-job training or one year of on-the-job training and a two-year degree in automotive repair to qualify for certification. Technicians have to take so many credits a year, and for OEM certification there are a list of classes that technicians have to take in order to work on certain vehicles, Odachowski said.
